Rooster Tail Ride 2024

Event dates: Saturday, August 10th, 2024 to Sunday, August 11th, 2024

Event Registration Period: Sunday, August 4th, 2024 to Sunday, August 11th, 2024

Pork Belly is adding some of our services to a ride benefiting a trail near and dear to our hearts - the Wabash Trace Nature Trail!  Last year, we provided shower services for the Rooster Tail Ride, and this year the Shenandoah Aquatic Center is closed so we will be the exclusive shower provider for campers at Sportsmans Park on Saturday.  Showers will be open from 3 PM until 9 PM on Saturday, August 10th (bring your own towel).

New this year, we are also offering our PHAT Rooms!  This was added due to demand that exceeds the capacity at the downtown Shenandoah Inn & Suites - we don't want to take any business away from them!  So, please don't book a PHAT Room if you already have reserved a hotel at Shenandoah Inn & Suites.  But, if you're on their waiting list, they are aware that we are providing this service so you may go ahead and book!

Our mobile hotel trailer has three twin bunks plus a futon (up to 4 people).  The cost per room is $200.  Renters are responsible for bringing their own pillows, sleeping bags, or bed linens - and the Wabash Trace will carry that along with your luggage from Mineola to Shenandoah (and back) as part of your Rooster Tail registration fee.

In order to use the shower services or the PHAT Rooms, you must be registered for the Rooster Tail Ride (a fundraiser for the Wabash Trace).

PBV AIR-CONDITIONED PHAT ROOMS

Air-conditioned PHAT Rooms are the most luxurious accommodations offered by Pork Belly Ventures, allowing riders to enjoy hotel-style amenities without leaving the ride atmosphere.  Each room is 8' X 10', with 9' ceilings, a window, and a door. A/C and electricity are available day and night.  Each room has two upper twin bunks, one lower twin bunk, and a futon sofa which can convert to a bed.  The rooms have laminate floors and clad in knotty pine.  Mattresses are provided, but please bring your own linens, pillows, and sleeping bags/blankets.  At the foot of each bunk, there's space for a duffel.  Fans circulate cold air around the rooms. Switched lights are located in the ceiling and at the head of each bunk, and electrical outlets are conveniently located around the room for charging electronic devices.  Each room sleeps up to four people.  The room rate of $200 can be divided among the room occupants.  Click below to see a detailed view of the room.  To sign up for this service scroll to the bottom, create username and password and select the PHAT room service from the list.)
