What is Sagging?
Well, it's a term that means you hang up the bike and catch a ride to your destination, as in "I'm out of butt butter, so I may have to sag tomorrow," or "I've never sagged a bleepin' day in my life and I'm not about to start now." Well, never say never. In 2009, we launched our luxury sag service, and here's how it works.
The PBV SAG Bus
Pork Belly Ventures will have a 57-passenger motorcoach and driver accompanying us for the purpose of sagging riders who, for whatever reason, do not choose to ride their bikes on a given day. Our bus company and trucking company (for bicycle transport) are both DOT-approved.
When and How It Works
Our SAG service will depart promptly at 7:00 each morning from the Pork Belly campsite. Bikes should be loaded prior to 7:00 a.m. We estimate that the bus and truck will complete each day's run by about 9:00 a.m. The bus has AC, the seats are soft, and you can snooze all the way. The restroom is larger than a standard kybo. Saggers are welcome to place baggage in compartments under the bus. The bike truck is outfitted to hang bikes by a wheel and secure the other wheel to the truck floor. This is a very comfortable and secure way for you and your bike to get to the next host town.
The Price:
$25 per day.
If Possible, Book The Day Before
On the morning of, it's possible that we may have already filled the bus with reservations. Your best bet is to find our SAG Crew Chief and get yourself on the next day's Sag Roster. Of course, you can check in the morning, and we may have space.
Reasons for Sagging
You don't need a reason to sag. That's your business. Say your butt is sore, your companion is driving you batty, or you just want to play hooky, get an early massage and grab some afternoon Zs. For twenty-five bucks, you can take the day off. It's your vacation, after all.

How to Book
Go to the "Pass the Corn" Trailer from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. the BEFORE you want to SAG. You can sign up then. Or you can ask the front desk to help.
Other Details
Our service is a morning sag only, from overnight town to overnight town. As ever, RAGBRAI will operate their free sag service on the rider route between overnight towns. If you wanted to try a few miles before deciding whether to sag, you would have the option of waiting on the roadside for the RAGBRAI sag vehicles.
In order to use our sag service, minors must be accompanied by an adult.
